We never anticipated such an eventful Mother's Day. . .it started off pretty "normal". The night before we had dinner with Matt's mom at Applebees in Ionia.
On Mother's Day, we got up, Matt gave me my gift (a stick vacum. . .which I asked for), then we went to church with Madison. We came home and Madison played and napped.
For dinner we went to Amy and Steve's House. They were having our family over for a cook-out to celebrate Mother's Day. Shortly after we arrived, (late as usual) I was in the dining room when I hear mom shouting in the kitchen "BABY PLATTE, BABY PLATTE!" I of course ran into the kitchen and gave Mary Jo a big hug! Tim and Mary Jo were expecting! It was amazing news! We were all VERY surprised and VERY excited! What a wonderful Mother's Day Surprise!
