We had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Matt and Melissa's baby and on May 14th at 10:35 p.m. he finally arrived! They named him Charles Joseph Bertram in honor of both of his Grandfathers. He weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 21inches long.
He did have a bit of a rough start. During his first night they found he had fluid in his lungs so he had to stay in the nursery for a while, but soon was well enough to stay with mom and dad.
After they took Charlie home, he had to readmitted due to Jaundice. After about a day, he was able to go home (again).
We are so excited to have another member of our family. Matt and I are excited to have a new nephew and we are also excited that Madison gets to have a cousin who is only a year younger than her! We hope they will be great buds!
