It was Madison's First Birthday! Matt was still off on disability and I decided to take the day off to celebrate as a family. When Madison woke up, I went into her room and sang Happy Birthday to her!
After we got up and got around, we took her to the playplace in Portland. She had a lot of fun with so much room to play!
We planned on taking her to the zoo in the afternoon but it was a little breezy and cool, and by the time she woke up from her afternoon nap it was kind of late.
After dinner we sang Happy Birthday to Madison. Mom was even able to join in because she was talking to us via Skype. Then we let Madison eat a cupcake that was leftover from her party.
The second picture is hysterical! I'm not sure why or how she was making that face, but it's funny we caught it on camera!
While she was eating her cupcake, Uncle Matt, and Godmother Melissa skyped us, so they were able to get a front row seat to the mess!
At the end of the night, we realized we bought a birthday hat for her and she never got the chance to wear it! She DID NOT like having it on, but it looked REALLY cute on her!
It was a great day that went too fast, just like her first year. We love you more than you know Madison Rose. Thank you so much for all the joy and love you have given us in one short year.
