This year was my first Mother's Day, and it was great. Matt, Madison and I went up to Perry and Penny's on Saturday and spent the night. On Sunday, we enjoyed lunch with the family. Grandpa Sawyer's birthday was the day before, so we sang Happy Birthday to him and enjoyed some birthday cake. After lunch, we headed south to visit my mom and dad. Since Madison had arrived just two weeks earlier, she got a lot of love and attention from both sides of the family during our visits!
When the day was done, and we were home, I realized we never got a picture of Madison and I on my first Mother's Day, so Matt snapped the picture shown below. My first Mother's Day was wonderful and I felt very blessed to finally be a mother.
