Why the name Madison Rose? Well, ten years ago, I had a girl in my class named Madison. She was one of those students who was close to my heart, and I really liked her name. I always kept the name in mind for when I had a little girl. Years passed and more and more people started using "my name" (Madison). :) In fact it is now one of the most popular girl names!
Matt's Grandma Sawyer's first name is Rose. I didn't even know this for quite some time because she went by the name Pat. I had loved the name Rose since I was a little girl. In fact, when I was little, I made my own little baby name book full of my favorite names, and Rose was one of them.
After Matt and I decided to start a family, we began discussing names. Matt and I both agreed that we liked the name Madison, especially because it sounded a bit like the name Matt. We put Rose with the name Madison and it sounded perfect. It officially became one of our favorite choices.
A funny coincidence was that at the beginning of this past school year, I was looking over my class list and realized that I had a Madison Rose in my class! She is adorable, sweet, and is a little spunky! She made me like the name even more!
We didn't officially decide on the name Madison Rose until we first saw her. We had a few other names as possible choices, but decided Madison Rose was our favorite. We hope she will love her name as much as we do!
