Meeting the Twins!

November 12, 2011

On November 1, Logan Joseph and Andrew Thomas were born. It was early and a bit scary. There were some minor complications during labor that required an emergancy c-section, and Logan was put the NICU for a while. Andrew was sent home first and then finally after about 10 days, Logan was able to come home and be with his twin and family at last!

Matt, Madison, and I went to the hospital a few days after the twins were born, but were unable to see them. So when they both were home, I couldn't wait to go over and meet my two new nephews.

I'll never forget the first time I saw them both. I came in through the kitchen and Mary Jo was in there getting some bottles ready. She told me I was just in time for feeding time. She grabbed the bottles, then we walked into the living room where Andrew and Logan were propped up in the recliner. They were soooo tiny they literally looked like two little dolls sitting in that chair.

Matt and Madison stayed home and Tim and the boys were gone, so I was able to help feed one of the boys and get lots of cuddle time during my first visit.

Halloween

Sunday, October 31, 2010

It was Halloween and Madison was going to go Trick or Treating for the first time. Jodi and Troy, Ayla, and Ember came over to trick or treat with us in Mulliken. Tina and her girls Quinn and Laney also came over. We put on Madison's little 80's girl costume and headed out, but first we had to take a few pictures.

We had to get one with just Quinn and Madison because they were both 80's girls.

Madison's first trick or treat!

What Madison Has Been Up To

October, 2010

Well Madison continues to grow and change every day. It is so fun watching her. Some new words she has been saying is "uh-oh, truck, duck, ball, night-night". She is also signing more and more. One new cute thing she is doing is she prances when she gets excited. Too cute.

And of course, she still loves her shoes.

In the pictures below, she was wearing my shoes, the back kept on "flopping up" and hitting her in the butt. It was so funny.

At the Bertram Halloween Party Matt and Melissa asked me to take a few shots of Charlie at 5 months. Matt and Melissa wanted just a few shots, nothing big. This was going to be a challenge for me. I didn't have a background or any "props". The photographer in me doesn't know how to do anything half way, so I didn't like this assignment.

Well, we found a cute blanket and a good spot and started shooting. I was pleasantly surprised with the results. . . but. . . it's hard not to get adorable pictures of Charlie!

Melissa found bought this mustache at a Halloween store and had to have Charlie wear it for a picture.

Bertram Halloween Party

Sunday, October 17, 2010

It was time for the annual Bertram Halloween Party. We put on Madison's costume, and headed over to mom and dads. Shortly after we got there, everyone in costume took a group picture. Tommy was a cute little Super Mario, Kimmy was a cowardly lion, Ben was Batman, Megan was a nerd, and Brandon was ?Dracula?, little Charlie was Charlie Brown, and Madison was a little 80's girl.

We had to take a separate picture of Cole and Grant because they were dressed up as Abercorombie models. :)

The kids bobbed for apples and played other fun Halloween games. I think the kids enjoyed another Bertram Halloween.
