Maternity Photo Session - Check!

This is something we (okay, I) wanted to get done since before we found out we were pregnant. Now that they are done, I'm really glad we did it! My friend Larene who also takes pictures helped with the shoot. She did a great job and I am really happy with how the pictures turned out! First Shower

My amazing friend Jenny put on a beautiful shower from me at the end of March. I was blessed to have friends there from all different stages of my life. I was able to share this great celebration with girls who have shared in many different parts of my life.

We had pizza, shared stories, and caught up with each other. I also received MANY wonderful gifts! Just one of the great gifts I received was a pack and play. As you can see we already have it set up and Matt and I can't wait to use it!

Thank you to Jenny who put on the shower, to all the girls who were able to come, and to those girls who were unable to make it! I had a great time and felt very lucky to be surrounded by such awesome women I can call friends!

29 weeks down . . . 11 to go!

We had a doctor's appointment on Thursday which included an ultrasound. Good news is that everything looks great! Bad news is that we didn't get any good pictures to share!

Baby is actually measuring at 32 weeks! This does not change our due date, that will not change, but it does mean that we may be having a big baby! I was a big baby and Matt was about average, so we will see!

We are trying to put the finishing touches on the babies room, which includes making and hanging the curtains, (thanks Grandma Bertram) washing clothes, etc.! It gets more and more real each day! Especially when I get to put away those teeny little clothes!

What's also getting real is my expanding tummy! Sleeping is getting a little tricky and I know it will get more and more tricky, especially when the baby gets here! I'm not too uncomfortable yet though, again, I know I'll get there though! My back has been bothering me, but the chiropractor has been a big help!

26 Weeks

Matt and I took these pictures right before we went out for Valentine's Day. We talked at dinner how this would be our last Valentine's Day with just the two of us. I think Matt summed it up perfectly when he responded, "That's okay with me."

6 Months and Counting

As of Thursday, we were at 24 weeks! I broke down and finally decided to take some belly pics! I'm feeling like time is kind of passing slow and feeling ready for our little baby to be here, but I know I should also enjoy this restful, quiet time while it lasts.

Babies Room

As my sister mentioned in a previous post, early this week, Matt not only helped me recover, he finished painting the baby's room and assembling the furniture for it. He did a great job! We also found bedding we wanted for the baby on clearance last week, so the nursery is really coming along!

Update on Gwen

Thought I would give everyone a quick update on me. I'm definitely feeling better. The pain is starting to subside and I'm going back to work for 1/2 days next week. Thanks for all the prayers and nice messages.
