Giggling

I have always thought it. . there is NO sweeter sound, then a baby giggling, and it's even sweeter when it's your little one. I couldn't wait until Madison started to giggle, and it's still music to my ears. Madison is a bit of a serious girl, so it takes takes something that she finds pretty funny to giggle. Daddy is the one who can usually can get her to giggle, as you can see in the next two videos.

These videos were taken on Feb. 12 and Feb. 15

Madison - 41 Weeks

Valentine's Day was just around the corner when I went to take Madison's 40 week pictures. I knew just what I wanted to do for her pictures, and they turned even more beautiful then I imagined. She is the best little Valentine's gift ever!

Visitors and Rockin Out

On my birthday, Feb. 6th, Grandma Penny, Aunt Dawn, and Grandma Rose came to visit to get some Madison time! They got lots of Madison love and we had some fun laughing with just us girls! (Matt had to work.)

When Matt came home he showed his mom, aunt and grandma how Madison loves to dance to music. We didn't get the funniest part on tape, when she was on all fours shaking her head, but we caught some of it! We love our Madison Rose!

She's Mobile!

On February 3rd, Madison started to crawl!!!!! I was sitting on the floor on the computer and Madison was just a little bit away from me, when she started to crawl to me to get the computer! I couldn't believe it! Unfortunately Matt wasn't home at the time, but when he came home, Madison showed him and we got it on tape! Since then she has really gotten the hang of it and is crawling EVERYWHERE!!! We were warned, and it is true . . . Life as we know it has changed!

Health Update

On February 2, 2010, Madison had her nine month check up. Our pediatrician told us Madison looked and sounded healthy! She weighed 19 pounds, 11 ounces (62nd percentile) and was 28 inches long (61st percentile). She only had to get one shot which was the flu shot!

Regarding her heart, Dr. Goble called me towards the end of December to give us the results of Madison's December holter . . . everything looked great! We will do a follow up in a year and just keep an eye on things. We are so thankful to God, our friends and family for all their support and prayers, and to all the great Doctors at Sparrow and U of M. Dr. Goble and Dr. Dick can not guarantee that she is "cured", but the results look promising.

First Trip to the Eye Doctor

January 28, 2010

Matt and I had kind of worried about Madison's eyes for a while. We were concerned they weren't tracking right or one was lazy. When we mentioned it to the pediatrician, he told us to go to an optometrist for an exam. We finally did in January and after a long but thorough exam, the Doctor informed me that Madison's eyes are just fine. She told me that what we were seeing was actually an optical illusion because her eyes are a bit narrow and her bridge is a bit wide. Good news.

Because they had to dilate Madison's eyes for the exam, they warned us that she would be sensitive to light for a day or so. They gave us some disposable sunglasses for her to wear on the way home, and of course, she looked so cute in them! She was in her snowsuit so she really couldn't take them off. When we got home and I opened the car door, she was fast asleep, with her sunglasses on! It was pretty cute!

Two Front Teeth

On January 27th, 2010, Madison's two top front teeth finally came through!
